You got here the police stopping a couple of guys on the road. It seemed pretty much like a standard procedure, until one of the men being apprehended gets beaten up and tasered for apparently no reason. It would be hard to say what happened there, but it seemed pretty random beating from the camera angle.
It seems like British cops are also getting heavy-handed in their arrests. What’s more interesting in a clip of this BBC report is that the complaints against the police have been rising, and that a good percentage of these complaints are upheld. It seems like cops there are used to being rough and tough on civilians.
A cop sends a guy flying and slams him into a wall, leaving the poor guy in a coma. The bad thing is that it was a case of mistaken identity. The worse thing is that the police don’t see anything wrong with what the cop did. Is police violence standard operating procedure nowadays?
This is a video showing violence in the protest made at Ungdomshuset in Copenhagen. It seems that cops are always ready to inflict police violence with their clubs always raised, poised to strike. Of course, we don’t know if the protesters also had their share of taunting the police. But then, a raised club is always a bad sign.
When the police gives instructions, just listen. If you don’t, you get a taste of taser. That’s how it is. Just do what you’re told and everyone gets home safe. No bad memories. A taser can send you writhing in pain, so if you don’t want any trouble, please cooperate.
How’s this for police abuse? A guy whose not resisting arrest gets bitten by a K-9, and he got evidence against him planted in his pocket. If there’s any clearer case of police abuse than this, we don’t what is. The comment by the reporter is valid: how many guys have been victimized by planted evidence?
The police are indeed camera-shy. Here, a police officer confronts someone taking a video of an arrest. The video taker was also taken down. What’s disturbing is that the man being arrested is asking for the grounds for arrest. It would be hard to tell from the video what the grounds for arrest is. Is it police violence, or just a crazy guy being apprehended?
Here is a scene where people are being arrested. It would depend on how you see it. These people can be talked into cooperating with the police. Another point is that police violence should not be exerted on guys who show no sign of aggression. It all depends on where the coin lands.
We know that resisting arrest forces the police to mete out police violence. But running over a guy with a police car? That’s police abuse there, as if there wasn’t any other way to bring the guy down and arrest him. If this video is true, then this clearly spells out police brutality.
I would agree that people sometimes are stubborn, which forces the police to act. But as they say, you don’t hit a man when he’s down, not with a wooden club or baton. Cops may be doing their job, but this video shows how violence or use of police force can become excessive.
