These two officers deserve credit for apprehending the suspect and remaining professional all throughout. You don’t see cheap shots, excessive violence, or any form of abuse. This is how police work should be done. Great job you two! You just have to wish that all police officers are like these two.
Well, protests are hard to deal with. You’d have complaints flying from the police and protesters. You have police abuse on the one hand, and protesters being stubborn and belligerent on the other. It’s a hard case to decide. Police stops riots with a hard hand, and protesters are (more often than not) involved in them.
The police are indeed camera-shy. Here, a police officer confronts someone taking a video of an arrest. The video taker was also taken down. What’s disturbing is that the man being arrested is asking for the grounds for arrest. It would be hard to tell from the video what the grounds for arrest is. Is it police violence, or just a crazy guy being apprehended?
We know that resisting arrest forces the police to mete out police violence. But running over a guy with a police car? That’s police abuse there, as if there wasn’t any other way to bring the guy down and arrest him. If this video is true, then this clearly spells out police brutality.

I’m divided on this one. The old lady was taken down by a female officer, and on the video, it looked like police violence. But consider the situation where the old lady was handling something like a sharp object. This would be a tough call. If you can disarm the old lady without hurting her, that would be ideal. But then, did the officer exert excessive force?

In this surveillance video, a cop pulls a gun on a woman’s face in a mini-mart. The cop claims that the woman is being confronted about a traffic accident, and he believes that the woman and her group had a firearm. It does smell of police violence if the first thing a cop does is pull out his firearm and shove it to her face.

In this video, the police is captured on tape kicking a guy on the head. The guy was already lying on the ground with arms spread. After the kick, the guy also received a hit on the head from a flashlight. This could be police violence, or this could be the guy getting what he deserved from running away from the cops in the first place.

In this story, the SWAT team raids a mayor’s house in connection with a drug investigation. Of course, there is probable cause to storm the mayor’s house. The problem is, the mayor was innocent. Also, they killed the family dog. Excessive police violence? You bet. If this can be done to a mayor, what more for ordinary civilians?
